Most of us go through some clothes change right when spring starts. Time to get rid of all that winter-looking wool!
However, only a few of us do that same thing for our homes. But really, we all should! In winter, your home should be warm and cozy, but when spring comes, you should feel fresh and energized! Even at home. After a good spring cleaning, I usually change things around at home, clean blankets and replace cushion covers welcoming spring into our home. I found some products at Zara Home that will help you get the spring look immediately! It is only six products, but trust me. Just by changing a couple of things, you will get a fresh and new feeling.
If you would like the change to be more dramatic, or you don't know where to start, you can always contact me at info@andreaibargutxi.com and I can help you style your home for the new season!

My husband's parents are super nice and not only did they help us with the wedding costs, but they also gave us the starting pieces of our new cutlery. It's Pott's 25 and I love it. We got it from Vivian Hann, one of my favorite stores in Amsterdam. It's very exquisite and the eye for detail in the store is impressive.
I will take us a while to get all the pieces, but it's one of these things you buy with no rush and thinking that it's for 'forever'.
Have a lovely weekend!

Last week my sister was here and she brought our wedding gift along. We got an Eames House Bird!!! We love it and it will always be with us, as originally intended. ;)

I don't like our bathroom. It's small and old and as much as I clean it, it never gets that super clean look. I've been thinking of ways of redecorating so it looks more 'loved&taken care of'. I've been considering painting the walls dark. Our tiles are not as pretty as the ones in the image below, but I still think it could work. The issue then would be light I guess. I need to think some more.

Hello readers.
As you know, I am immersed in wedding planning with less than 100 days to go for the big day! I haven't spoken much about the whole process here. Partly because I didn't want this space to become a wedding blog, partly because it was a bit stressful and partly because well, I am lazy. :)
But I thought I'd share something with you. In the very beginning, before I even got engaged, I dreamt about getting married in Iriarte Jauregia. It's such such such a beautiful place. Decorated with such taste and in the middle of the mountains... a truly dreamy place. It's a hotel, but they are so flexible and nice that you can basically use the space as you wish for your whole wedding weekend.
We eventually decided not to get married here though. There were several reasons: it was just a bit too far for our guests and it was a bit too expensive for us. On top of that, we had to build a tent outside the main house, and let me tell you, tents in the Basque Country are not like the ones you see in american blogs. They are ugly. And making them pretty, well...that costs a fortune. So we decided it wasn't for us.
I do sometimes still think of it. Style wise it would have been perfect for us and the idea of having a weekend and not a day is also a nice idea. Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled about our wedding location, but dreams are hard to forget sometimes. I am sure we'll go one day though. And if you are around, you should too!
More or wedding location madness to follow.
Have a nice day!

While doing some research for school I went to check Louise Campbell's work and I just had to share it with you. It's so inspiring! Not only she creates really beautiful pieces, but I find her concepts very interesting too. It's not over-thought, it's a bit literal so there's some degree of fantasy and it's intelligent. Here are some of my favorites, but check her website, it's worth a visit!

Maybe! Eight days to start school and I feel the urge to leave every other project finished and ready. And so I have a couple of new things to show you.

Last Monday I had to present my last two projects at school. I have no grades yet, but from what I can guess, it went fine. Which basically means I passed and that I am now on summer holiday. Except it's not really like when I was a University student, cause now I still have to work during the summer.

I like going back to places I liked. Today I visited many webpages in search of inspiration. And I visited Tas-ka again too.

I realize I didn't show our new dining room yet. New in the sense that we now have a dressoir instead of an Ikea bookshelf and that we finally have light above our dining table.

Yesterday I had my first 'exam' at school. I think it went ok, although I was not absolutely satisfied. Whether I'll ever be it's another story.
