...this Jill Sander coat. The whole look actually.
I was going through some old magazines and cutouts and I realized how much I still love it. Sometimes trends don't have any impact on me. In fact, it happens more and more these days, I wonder if it's an age symptom.
While doing some research for school I went to check Louise Campbell's work and I just had to share it with you. It's so inspiring! Not only she creates really beautiful pieces, but I find her concepts very interesting too. It's not over-thought, it's a bit literal so there's some degree of fantasy and it's intelligent. Here are some of my favorites, but check her website, it's worth a visit!

I wish it was for sale, rRemember this? you can order it via her website! It's totally worth a visit (especially if you want to buy a present for me...;-))
I can't beleive I haven't written about Hema before. Hema is one of the most precious shops I know. If I ever moved away from Holland, I would terribly miss it.
How to define it...Hema has it all really, from food to clothes, to bike tires. And it's all lovely. It's one of these shops were you come in wanting to buy candles and you end up buying towels, candles, photo frames and a new baking dish. The price is wonderfully wonderful and I must say that the quality is good (in proportion to the price).
If you come to The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany or Luxemburg, visit Hema. I am sure you will love it!
So December began and I am totally on Christmas mode. I always wish many 'things' for Christmas, many personal wishes and thoughts that especially these days are reminded to me as important. But this is a blog of pretty things, so pretty things I'll publish.
Two weeks to go and this is the beginning of my vain Christmas Wish List (not in order of preference, in case you wonder). The real one, I'll keep between me and baby Jesus. ;-)
Readers who know me (or the ones that have read my About page) know that I lo-oh-ve towels. I also love bed linen, but towels are my #1 on the Top-home-garment-list. I love having plenty, I love handing them to guests, I love buying them. You go the point I think. Due to a space shortage in Amsterdam and to the fact that I had to move 6 times in 5 years, the amount of towels I have is quite reasonable (although boyfriend will disagree on this for sure). I went through a 'happy colors' phase some years ago, so I have all the colors of the rainbow in my towel closet , but I am afraid I don't like them anymore. I would like them all to be white and grey and beige and more white, and light light colored. However, I feel bad to get rid of the ones I have (which are perfectly fine) so I suffer in shops all the time, trying to find excuses to buy new ones, when there is clearly no reasonable reason.
One of these temptation moments took place in Haarlem last Saturday. I saw this shop Ottomania and almost went into tears. The shop is so beautiful and peaceful and classy and the towels and bed linen are just fantastic. Too much on the girly side for boyfriend, but really truly beautiful. I took no pictures as I was too impressed, but you can have a look at the website, it's worth a visit.
I love this bag, this is the kind of bag I have been looking for in ages. Two handles, one shoulder padded strap, leather...and in many colors (so you can choose).
I saw it at Cool Chiq while I was searching for other stuff and it's from Belen Echandia, which I had never heard of. I am considering ordering it in the color shown...
